Sarah Goldman is a nice Jewish girl with a big problem - her parents! Sam and Miriam think it's the end of the world that she is still not married to a nice Jewish boy. They have never met her boyfriend, a WASP account executive named Chris Kringle, but she knows they would not approve of him. So, to mollify her parents, Sarah tells them she is dating a successful Jewish doctor. She plans a dinner party to introduce her eager parents to David, her new beau, and devises a scheme to find him. Over the heated protests of Chris, she employs an escort service to send her a Jewish date. Instead they send her Bob Schroeder, an aspiring actor who agree to perform the impersonation, with hilarious results. Produced by special arrangement with Samuel French, Inc.
