The dressing rooms were reconstructed with wider doorways, carpet, and paint.

The noisy A/C unit, the bathroom, and the small props room were removed from the rehearsal hall making the space ginormous!

New stairs to the dance hall!                             A brand new ropes system has been installed!

Backstage!  (check out the beautiful floor)

Schiffbauer Art Center!

Some before and after pictures

This is a picture looking down the backstage hallway looking toward the back door.  The tornado, debris, and water ruined the drywall and the carpeting.  We have widened the entrances to the backstage.  Plus, we have added a second door to the back. People can now go to rehearsals upstairs without disrupting a rehearsal on stage!  Now when you walk in the back door, there are stairs on your right that will take you to the higher levels of the theater!

Both these photos were taken from the loft area.  The one on the left shows a picture of the damaged stage. Notice the chicken wire on the lower left side.  This used to be the "wall" that divided the electrical room to a megadrop onto the stage floor.  Also notice how low the procenium goes down (the front wall of the stage OR the silver section).  With the reconstruction the electrical room has been moved to a backstage area (makes sense).  The chicken wire has been removed, and an awesome new small props room has taken up that space.  Furthermore, the procenium wall was raised several feet.  Prepare to be amazed at the changes occuring at this small town theater.

More Pics-

This is the drive up to Engle Lane Theater.

This is a picture of the loft where large props are kept.

This is the dance hall upstairs.  The piano is unsalvagable.

The lobby received very little damage.  Doc is safe!
